چکیده

Abstract Background Durum wheat ( Triticum durum Desf.) is one of the most important cereals in world. Unfortunately, plant a target several species genus Fusarium. This causes two serious diseases: fusarium crown rot (FCR) and head blight (FHB). The search for new indigenous strains Trichoderma with high potential biocontrol against these diseases was purpose this study. Results Biocontrol 15 isolates (T1 to T15), isolated from different rhizosphere soils Algerian ecosystems, evaluated 4 Fusarium culmorum (FC11, FC2, FC4, FC20); main causative agent FCR FHB. efficacy biological control by spp., vitro tests (direct indirect confrontation), confirmed vivo bioassays. results showed significant inhibition mycelial growth F. than control. highest percentages were obtained T9, T12, T14 causing maximum percentage 81.81, 77.27, 80.68%, respectively. selected testing. A tube pot experiments that decreased disease severity 50 63.63% reduction, FHB infection significantly reduced all cultivars tested, where %AUDPC (area under progress curve) reduction 49.77, 43.43, 48.25, 74.60% Simeto, Waha, Bousselem, Setifis genotypes, Yields also increased almost cultivars. antagonistic characterized based on molecular tools, using translation elongation factor1-alpha (TEF1-α) internal transcribed spacers rDNA (ITS1). identified as T. afroharzianum accession numbers attributed NCBI GenBank MW171248 MW159753. Conclusions , first time Algeria agent, promising approach

Effects of Fusarium Head Blight on Wheat Grain and Malt Infected by Fusarium culmorum

Fusarium head blight is a destructive disease of cereals worldwide. The aim of this research was to study the effect of heavy Fusarium infection with Fusarium culmorum and biosynthesis of mycotoxins on different wheat varieties during malting by setting up field trials with control and Fusarium-inoculated treatments at the Agricultural Institute Osijek. The highest occurrence of Fusarium mycoto...

First report of Fusarium chlamydosporum causing crown rot and dumping of on Durum wheat in Algeria

Several species of Fusarium infect durum wheat plants in the eastern part of Algeria. Endophytic fungus from random wheat seeds were sampled from fifty locations in eastern Algeria and shows the existence of Fusarium chlamydosporum regarding the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. Molecular identification using EF1 and ITS1 primers were confirmed the presence of Fusarium chlamydosporum...

Draft Whole-Genome Sequence of Trichoderma gamsii T6085, a Promising Biocontrol Agent of Fusarium Head Blight on Wheat.

Trichoderma gamsii T6085 is a promising beneficial isolate whose effects consist of growth inhibition of the main agents causing Fusarium head blight, reduction of mycotoxin accumulation, competition for wheat debris, and reduction of the disease in both the lab and the field. Here, we present the first genome assembly of a T. gamsii isolate, providing a useful platform for the scientific commu...

Phylogeny and genetic diversity of Fusarium graminearum species complex associated with Fusarium head blight of wheat in Moghan plain (Iran)

Thirty-seven isolates of Fusarium graminearum species complexobtained from wheat heads with Fusarium head blight symptoms were selected and used for phylogenetic studies. They were collected from different localities of Moghan plain (Ardebil province, Iran). Partial sequences of translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF), putative reductase (RED) and UTP-ammonia ligase (URA) genes were amplifi...
